Mass Transit Muse is now an official play in development at 7 Stages theatre in Atlanta!  We will present the piece on Saturday, January 19th 2013 at 7 Stages, 1105 Euclid Avenue, Little 5 Points Atlanta.  Having an official relationship with 7 Stages, the 34 year-old cornerstone of the Atlanta theatre scene, is a major coup!  Here's a summary of the what's next up between now and the show...

Mass Transit Muse Development Plan

Summary:  Scheduled for presentation as a 7 Stages play in development on January 19th, 2013 Mass Transit Muse  (MTM) represents an innovation in process and production.  Written in rhymed and metered prose and spoken-word poetry, the story follows a bus ride through New Orleans and unfolds against the backdrop of digital footage of New Orleans’ post-Katrina development.  With live musical accompaniment, hip-hop and modern dance based blocking, live interaction with digital video, and audience interplay MTM is a novel theatre experience.  The production process and promotion strategy also innovate in that the piece will be performed once per month for targeted audiences of potential creative partners, non-profit partners, patrons, and press people with weekly team meetings to hone and develop the work, as well as create interest, prior to the official workshop.

Development Schedule
Each month between August and January we will present the piece in its latest stage at a different venue and to a targeted audience.  Between shows creative partners will meet once a week to discuss progress on production development, incorporate new ideas, and evaluate aspects of the show.
