Wonderroot, the arts center that has been my creative home away from home since moving to Atlanta in 2007, turns four years old this Saturday, May 26th and they are celebrating with a Robots v. Dinosaurs themed costume performance party at Wonderroot (982 Memorial Drive Southeast Atlanta, GA 30316). I'll be a robot. This is the piece I'll share in a mix of movement, poetry, and song. I'll have some video for you post performance... should be good for a laugh!
When the meteor comes
I'll be riding it
like the mechanical bull in your heart
When the big bang sang
I applauded it
I'll be there when the light goes dark
You won't outlast the roaches
and I will smash the last one
I built the pyramids, sunk Atlantis
hung the moon and flung the sun
I am your god
you created me to calculate your insignificance
I am your soul
a flat, black hole
the horizon of the infinite
I am the wrath of zero
I am the one
I am math
